It is possible to update remotely the recorder through a client. In order to do this, the recorder must be connected to a network. The process is described below:
- Open the update file (zip)
- Save this file to the client
- Open surveillance client app (insert username & password given) and select the advanced option. Then select Firmware update option. On the pop-up window choose the select option
- Select the location of the saved update file
- On the pop-up window select start. The update process starts
- When the installation process is finished (a banner appears), the recorder restarts
- Log in again to the client app (insert again username & password given). On the advanced menu, under the firmware update option, select the load default option. Select all the available options except the record option (in case we do not want to lose any recorded footage). Otherwise, choose the select all option (all recorded footage will be deleted)
- When the process is finished, the recorder restarts again. Then insert the default username & password.
- Due to this process, all users have been deleted and must be created again
